I'm fundraising for Critically Endangered orangutans
Join with me today in helping to save the Critically Endangered orangutan by sponsoring me in the Body Fit Challenge.
In March I’ll be challenging myself to complete a set number daily exercise repetitions consisting of pull-ups, push-ups and sit-ups while raising funds to support The Orangutan Project, an international non-profit committed to orangutan conservation.
Existing only on the Southeast Asian islands of Sumatra and Borneo, all three species of the orangutan are listed as Critically Endangered. Ongoing habitat loss, poaching and the impacts of climate change has brought them to the brink of extinction. Unless we take drastic action now, extinction in the wild is likely in the next 10 years for Sumatran orangutans and soon after for Bornean orangutans.
By sponsoring me in the Body Fit Challenge your donations will fund critical orangutan conservation projects including securing, restoring and patrolling habitat; rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing orphaned and injured orangutans; and educating and empowering local indigenous communities in conservation initiatives. This holistic approach by The Orangutan Project aims to provide permanent protection to 8,000 wild orangutans to ensure sufficient numbers of each orangutan species survive indefinitely.
Please sponsor me today and make my repetitions count!
